The objective:
The aim of a Lean Improvement Implementation Service is to maximize the productivity of the organization with the same recourses with less time and less cost resulting in better and safer patient care and to embed the Lean philosophy in the organization

The approach:
In order to achieve a Lean Improvement Implementation in your organization, a well-defined (SMART formulated) objective will be defined in consultation with the customer. The approach of this service will be according to the DMAIC-project charter plan. The project members are not fulltime active with this project. On a monthly basis, the project members will have a 4 – 8 hour meeting. During this meeting, the actions from the last meeting will be reviewed and new actions will be discussed.

Step1: Preparing and finalizing DMAIC- Project Charter according to the main objective of the organization

Step 2: Preparing and measuring 0- measurements

Step 3:  1,5 day per month for a maximum of 5 visits onsite training and guiding the project team according the DMAIC-project plan.

Step 4: Presentation of results to project owners and closing project

The project team members will be trained on a Lean Green Belt level. Other employees will receive  a 2 hour Lean awareness training and certificate on completion

  • Eliminated all the “ hidden waste” & non-value added tasks
  • Executed the Value Stream Mapping of the specimen flow
  • Created flow in the process, maximized the batch size, streamlined the processes
  • Implemented pull system
  • Implemented the zero defects tools, like 5S, Kaizen standups, Visual Management, Kanban, etc
  • The project team members will receive hands-outs per module
  • The project team members will receive a Lean Green Belt Theory certificate
  • On completion of the 5 modules, the project team members will have gained the necessary knowledge to take the Lean Green Belt practical– examination
  • All other employees will be trained on a Lean awareness level and will receive a certificate
